About The B-SHIELD
The B-SHIELD is a lightweight vinyl pouch with a flap integrated at the top to allow every part of the document to be visible once placed in the drivers' window.
As a company owner or a driver you will have peace of mind knowing that the dangerous goods product you are transporting will be easily identifiable by Emergency Response Teams in the case of an emergency. This can include an emergency situation nearby the vehicle, or an accidental release of the dangerous goods vessel while the driver is away from the vehicle.
Having the dangerous goods documents legible and readily available for emergency personnel will assist in their ability to implement an effective emergency response plan. It will also ensure your company will not be in violation of TDG regulations and be subject to monetary fines or legal action.
If the driver’s door is locked and the proper TDG documentation is not visibly displayed, the driver can receive a minimum $460 fine. In the event of an emergency, and no documentation is present, the fines can be substantial - up to and including legal action or jail time.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulation
The driver of a power unit that is attached to or is part of the cargo unit of a road vehicle transporting dangerous goods must ensure that a copy of the shipping document is kept, as follows:
(a) if the driver is in the power unit, in a pocket mounted on the driver’s door or within the driver’s reach; or (b) if the driver is out of the power unit, in a pocket mounted on the driver’s door, on the driver’s seat or in a location that is clearly visible to anyone entering through the driver's door
The TDG Act, 1992, received Royal Assent on June 23, 1992. It replaced the old TDG Act which was passed by Parliament in 1980. Development of TDG Regulations began soon after 1980, with the first complete set of regulations coming into force in 1985.
About
Putting our experience
to work for you
With a combined total of 50 years’ experience in the transportation industry, we have recognized a gap regarding the consistency of the TDG paperwork being displayed. Often times documents are only partially visible, or not visible at all even though placards are present on the transportation unit.

When the Power Unit is Unhooked
In the event that the Power Unit is separated from the TDG regulated vessel/trailer, the TDG document MUST remain with the product. Without B-SHIELD, the document is exposed to the elements. Paperwork can become damaged, illegible, and is difficult to place in the exterior trailer document tube without getting crumpled or ripped. The B-SHIELD not only protects your documents but is easy to roll and fits inside the document tube. Keeping your important documents safe and readily available has never been so easy!
